| Alcohol: | 14.70% |
| Appellation: | McDowell Valley |
| Months in Barrel: | 16 |
| Oak: | New to 2 year-old French (medium toast Radoux) & American Oak |
| Tasting Notes: | A huge, dense, luscious wine with layers of fruit, toasty oak and spicy complexity. Jammy, berry flavors are complemented by mineral notes, violet floral aromas, and firm tannin structure for ageability. |
| Varietal: | 100 % Syrah |
| Vineyard Notes: | The majority of grapes for our Estate Syrah are harvested by hand from 55-year old, head-pruned vines that we call "The Gibson Ranch". This block, originally planted in 1919, produces grapes with intensity and complexity as it consists of three different clones of Syrah, each with their own flavor profile. |
| Winemakers Notes: | De-stemmed, crushed Syrah berries were cold-soaked for 3-5 days to impart maximum color without aggressive tannins. |
